i am wearing
the pair of pants
you brought home
in the laundry
from your “camping trip.”
they are green, the green
i like. they are a little too
big. i wonder if
i have turned you on
to fat girls.
it’d be ironic,
wouldn’t it
if the moment i started
thinning down
paring down
not to bone but
to myself,
you discovered the excess
was something you wanted?
yeah. ironic.
just like me wearing the pants that aren’t mine
but are just the shade of green i like.
If I don’t accept it
who does it belong to?
I set the phone down
turned the email off
scrawled “Return to Sender”
on all the envelopes.
If I won’t fight, who
do you have to yell at?
I will not nail myself
christlike to the cross
just so you
can continue playing
your dominance game.
If I refuse, vanish, fade
disappear
what can you do?
I won’t play anymore
find someone else
to be your whipped dog.
If I’d known it was
this easy, I would have
hung up on you
a long time ago.
hello.
one poem a day.
for as long as i can stand it.
i’ll miss days, and of course there will be locked ones for home consumption.
punctuation and grammar will be abused at will.
that’s all.
except, hello. nice to meet you.
